Temporary Relocation of the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) advises patients, relatives and the public that its Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) has been temporarily relocated to the Cardiac Suite to facilitate a comprehensive environmental deep clean and associated maintenance within the unit.

The work is expected to take approximately two weeks and may extend to three weeks, depending on the progress of the cleaning and maintenance activities.

MICU services will continue during this period, and visiting hours remain unchanged.

Persons visiting patients in the MICU should proceed to the temporary location in the Cardiac Suite.

Anyone requiring assistance in locating the unit is asked to speak with QEH Security personnel, who will provide guidance and directions.

The QEH thanks patients, relatives, staff and the public for their understanding and cooperation during this temporary relocation and apologises for any inconvenience that may be experienced.
