Located on the second and third floors of the Lion’s Eye Care Centre at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, the Ophthalmology Department is equipped with the latest diagnostic equipment and provides the highest quality environment to be seen in.
The multidisciplinary team in the Ophthalmology Department consists of specialists in paediatric, glaucoma, neurosurgical, and ocuplastics care as well as and nurses trained in ophthalmic procedures.
With state of the art equipment, including a YAG laser, the department continues to respond to the needs of patients, including those who have undergone cataract surgery and those with acute and angle closure glaucoma.
The department also provides oculoplastic services, supporting the needs of those with droopy eyelids, persons who require repair to tear duct obstructions and those who have tumours around the eyes.
Our aim is to provide the best quality ophthalmic care. Most of the surgeries we do are done as day cases allowing patients a quick return to their normal lives.
