The Peritoneal Dialysis Unit opened in November 2013 and is staffed by 3 registered nurses, 2 nephrologists and an orderly.
The Peritoneal Dialysis Unit is an out-patient service and provides assessments to determine the suitability of potential clients for peritoneal dialysis; teaching sessions for clients/patients and care-givers on how to dialyze at home; follow-up care for clients after catheter placement; and bi-annual retraining sessions on home dialysis best practices.
We the staff of the Peritoneal Dialysis will continue to deliver the highest standard of care at all times and become the flagship of peritoneal units throughout the region.

Monday to Friday 08:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.
However there is a nurse on-call after regular working hours, weekends and bank holidays who is available to take queries from patients in order to manage any patient emergencies that may arise.
