QEH Receives Donation of Six Recliner Chairs From The Diaspora

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital has received yet another donation from our family in the diaspora. This time Former Consul General to New York, Mackie Holder has handed over six recliner chairs for the Pediatrics departments, providing comfort for parents accompanying their children who are receiving care on Wards C7 and C8.
This donation valued approximately 10 thousand Barbados dollars is part of a bigger shipment of supplies facilitated by the New York consulate under Mr. Holder’s leadership, valued at least 100 thousand Barbados dollars.
It’s expected that gestures of this nature will continue. Mr. Holder has confirmed there’s a high level of support for the work of the hospital in New York and that Barbadians living in the Big Apple are eager to assist.
We thank Mr. Holder, his wife and the team in New York for their continued support as the former CG starts his new assignment in London. Consultant and Head of the Pediatrics Department, Dr. Angela Jennings accepted the donation on behalf of the hospital.
