In Memoriam : Remembering Janette S. Lynton: – A Champion for Cancer Patients in Barbados

The Board, Management, Medical Staff, and employees of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends, colleagues, volunteers, and the entire Cancer Support Services community on the passing of Ms. Janette S. Lynton, S.T.E., Founder and Executive Director of Cancer Support Services.
Ms. Lynton devoted her life to serving others and was a tireless advocate for persons affected by cancer throughout Barbados. Through her vision, compassion, and unwavering commitment, Cancer Support Services became a source of comfort, hope, and support for thousands of patients and their families during some of their most difficult moments.
Her longstanding partnership with the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, particularly through her support of cancer patients and services, has left an indelible mark on our institution and the wider healthcare community. Her legacy of volunteerism, kindness, and selfless service will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing and working alongside her.
At this time of profound loss, our thoughts and prayers are with Ms. Lynton’s family, loved ones, and the entire Cancer Support Services team. We join the nation in mourning the loss of an extraordinary woman whose life’s work touched countless lives.
May she rest in eternal peace, and may her legacy continue to live on through the many lives she transformed.
