QEH Expands Emergency Ambulance Fleet with Donation from Maria Holder Memorial Trust

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) is pleased to announce the expansion of the Emergency Ambulance Service fleet to 12 vehicles, following the generous donation of two new ambulances from the Maria Holder Memorial Trust. Valued at over $200,000, this contribution marks a significant milestone in our mission to provide timely and effective care to the people of Barbados.

At the official handover ceremony, held Thursday December 19th, 2024 at the Emergency Ambulance Service’s headquarters in Wildey, St. Michael, Chief Executive Officer Neil Clark expressed deep gratitude for the Trust’s unwavering support. “This will significantly improve our ability to provide timely and effective care to the people of Barbados,” Clark stated.

The QEH remains deeply committed to strengthening the island’s emergency response capabilities, and this donation further underscores the long-standing partnership with the Maria Holder Memorial Trust.
