New CEO Shares His Vision For The Queen Elizabeth Hospital
It was a packed auditorium for the April QEH Townhall as staff came out in their numbers to meet the new Chief Executive Officer, Neil Clark.
Mr. Clark, who has 30 years of health care planning and senior management experience, has encouraged staff to adopt a patient centered approach to their delivery of care.
During the townhall under the theme “New CEO, New Financial Year, New Vision”, he also made an appeal for a greater focus on initiatives promoting consistent improvements across the hospital.

Awarding Service Excellence
In the face of constant scrutiny and public criticism, the Accident and Emergency Department continues to show its resilience, meeting the demands of our patients.
Team AED successfully responded to the most recent patient surge exacerbated by the temporary closure of the 24-hour Winston Scott Polyclinic last month and has been able to improve wait times in the department. It’s hard work but Team AED is rising to the challenges and ready to face what an expanded department will bring. These smiles are definitely a sign that “AED is Back on Track in 2024”. AED, Department of the Month for January/February.

BCF "Bring On The Spring" is Back!
The Barbados Canada Foundation is back for “Bring on the Spring 2024”.
The BCF last year raised 90 thousand Barbados dollars to purchase new slit lamps for the Ophthalmology department. This time around the BCF’s target is $100,000 Barbados dollars for new equipment for the Accident and Emergency Department.
The members of the foundation are calling on Barbadians in the Canadian Diaspora and those at home to get on board, donate and support this worthy cause.
A big thank you goes out to the BCF and all who support the cause.
