Temporary Closure of the National Blood Collecting Centre (NBCC)

We regret to inform you that the NBCC will be closed for the remainder of today due to an unexpected technical issue with our electrical supply. Both our main power and backup generator are currently down, which has also affected our phone lines.

Our engineering team has identified a problem with the main electrical supply at the meter, which has also impacted our generator. We have already reached out to BL&P and a generator expert, who are working to resolve the issue this afternoon.

In the meantime, we will remain closed to the public for the rest of today, but we expect to be back to normal operations by tomorrow morning. Emergency services may resume later this evening, depending on how quickly the issue is resolved.
