QEH Begins Temporary Department Relocations for Enmore Redevelopment

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) wishes to inform the public that we are commencing the next phase of the Enmore Redevelopment Project—an important initiative designed to enhance our facilities and improve the delivery of healthcare services.

As part of this process, several departments will be temporarily relocated to facilitate construction and refurbishment works. These measures are necessary to ensure that patient care and hospital operations continue with minimal disruption throughout the redevelopment period.

Relocations will begin shortly, using a phased approach. The Phlebotomy Department will be the first to move, relocating this weekend and reopening at its new location at the QEH Hospital Annex on 6th Avenue Belleville, St. Michael on Monday, April 27, 2026. Further details regarding additional department relocations will be shared in due course.

The QEH is committed to keeping the public fully informed. We will continue to provide updates on:

  • Which departments are being relocated
  • Their new locations
  • Opening dates and operating hours

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to improve our facilities and services.

This redevelopment represents a significant step forward for healthcare delivery in Barbados, and we remain dedicated to serving you with the highest standard of care throughout this transition.

Further updates will be shared regularly.
