Hauling and Lifting Operations At The QEH On May 1st
The Queen Elizabeth Hospital advises the public that heavy hauling and lifting operations will take place on Friday, 1 May 2026, beginning at 9:00 a.m.
These works are necessary to support ongoing operational requirements and will be conducted under strict safety protocols. To facilitate the operation and protect all persons in the area, the following temporary measures will apply:
- Contracted operations: Hinds Transport and Williams will be on-site conducting lifting activities.
- Parking restrictions: No parking will be permitted in the vicinity of the Main Entrance during the operation.
- Vehicular access: Security personnel will facilitate temporary vehicle movement where possible; however, once equipment is positioned, vehicular access will be significantly restricted.
- Pedestrian access: Pedestrian movement will remain open, but all persons are urged to exercise caution when passing through the area.
- Traffic control: QEH Security, supported by A&C Security, will manage vehicular and pedestrian flow to maintain safety.
The QEH thanks patients, visitors, and members of the public for their cooperation and understanding as these temporary measures are necessary to safely complete the operation.
