St. Gabriel’s Charity Donates 100 Pillows to QEH in Support of Patient Comfort and Care

Senior Nursing Officer, Peaches Hayles-Beckles receives the generous donation from members of Past Scholars and Friends of St. Gabriel’s Charity

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) is proud to acknowledge and thank Past Scholars & Friends of St. Gabriel’s, a Registered Charity, for their recent donation of 100 pillows to support patient comfort and care across the institution.

This meaningful contribution comes at a significant time, as the hospital has also recently acquired 50 new hospital beds, which have been deployed across multiple wards. The new beds replace older models and have also helped increase capacity in areas of high patient demand.

The generous donation of pillows ensures that these newly installed beds are fully equipped to enhance the comfort and overall experience of QEH patients. The pillows have already been distributed and are in active use across the hospital.

“We are deeply grateful to Past Scholars & Friends of St. Gabriel’s for their thoughtful support,” said QEH CEO Mr. Neil Clark. “Their contribution complements our ongoing efforts to improve the quality of patient care through critical upgrades in infrastructure and equipment.”

Representatives from the charity made the official presentation at the QEH, expressing their commitment to giving back and supporting the healthcare needs of the Barbadian community. This initiative was made possible by donors who contributed specifically toward the purchase of pillows and were eager to see their gifts used meaningfully in patient care.

The QEH continues to encourage community partnerships like these, which help strengthen the delivery of care and improve outcomes for patients.
