Reminder: Masks Are Still Required in All Clinical Areas

As part of our continued commitment to patient and staff safety, all staff, patients, and visitors are reminded that mask-wearing remains mandatory in all clinical areas of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Wards and patient rooms
  • Treatment and procedure rooms
  • Examination areas
  • Outpatient clinics
  • The Accident and Emergency Department
  • Diagnostic areas (e.g., Radiology, Cardiology)
  • Patient transport routes within the facility

Mask-wearing is a critical measure to reduce the risk of infection transmission, particularly for vulnerable patients and those with compromised immune systems.

We kindly ask everyone to:

  • Walk with your own mask to ensure continued compliance
  • Wear a mask properly over the nose and mouth while in any designated clinical space
  • Sanitize hands regularly, especially before and after patient contact
  • Follow guidance from staff and signage posted throughout the hospital

We appreciate your continued cooperation in maintaining a safe healthcare environment for all.

For additional guidance, please contact the Infection Prevention and Control Department at 436-6450 ext 6115.
