QEH Welcomes New Chairman of the Board of Directors

Mr. Henderson Holmes – Chairman of the Board of Directors

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital is proud to announce the appointment of Mr. Henderson B. Holmes, BSc (Hons) as Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Mr. Holmes brings to this role a distinguished background in strategic leadership, institutional development, and economic policy. A graduate of the University of the West Indies (St. Augustine) with a BSc (Hons.) in Industrial Management, he also holds a Diploma in Consulting for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises from the Tyrin School of Management in Italy.

He has served in senior leadership positions across the public and private sectors, including as Executive Director of the Barbados International Business Association (BIBA) and Senior Executive at the Barbados Investment and Development Corporation (BIDC), where he pioneered small business support programmes and advanced Barbados’ investment promotion efforts in the USA. Mr. Holmes has also contributed to several CARICOM and World Bank-funded projects across the region and has held directorships with key institutions such as the Financial Services Commission, BIMAP, Amicorp Bank & Trust, and Invest Barbados.

With expertise in strategic planning, financial analysis, institutional strengthening, and sector development, Mr. Holmes is well-positioned to guide QEH as we continue to strengthen healthcare delivery and patient care for the people of Barbados.
