Hospital Operations Unaffected by Water Main Repairs

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) is aware of the emergency repairs currently being undertaken by the Barbados Water Authority (BWA) on a large diameter main in Odessa McLean Drive, which may impact surrounding communities.

We wish to assure the public that there has been no impact on services at the QEH. Our facility remains fully operational and open to serving all patients.

We are in close communication with the BWA and our other utility partners, including the Barbados Light and Power Company and the National Petroleum Corporation, to ensure we continue to meet the demands of those in our care.

Under the hospital’s Business Continuity Plan, our preparedness measures for such events have been implemented to ensure uninterrupted service delivery and patient care.

We thank the BWA and all utility partners for their support and remain committed to providing high-quality care to the people of Barbados.
