Arrival of the 8th China Medical Team at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) is pleased to welcome the members of the 8th China Medical Team, who have been deployed to work alongside our clinical staff in strengthening specialist services and enhancing patient care.

The team comprises seven medical specialists across a range of disciplines:

• Dr. Yu Yang – Cardiovascular Surgeon
• Dr. Cui Hong – Anaesthesiologist
• Dr. Cui Kun – Cardiologist (Team Captain)
• Dr. Hu Kei – Joint Surgeon
• Dr. Li Huanhuan – Nuclear Medicine Physician
• Dr. Xiao Yang – Ultrasound Diagnostic Physician
• Dr. Mou Qiujie – Acupuncturist

These specialists will collaborate across multiple departments, contributing their expertise in cardiovascular care, orthopaedics, anaesthesia, diagnostic imaging, nuclear medicine, and complementary therapies. Their presence supports continued knowledge exchange, skills transfer, and the strengthening of specialised clinical services at the QEH.

Earlier today, Director of Medical Services, Dr. Carlos Chase, met with the Team Captain and members of the delegation and conducted a tour of several key departments to familiarise them with hospital operations and clinical workflows.

The team will officially commence duties tomorrow.
