At the age of 23 how many people can say they accomplished their childhood dreams? Jesecar Gibson can.
At the tender age of six Jesecar knew she was destined to become a nurse. 17 years later, Jesecar accomplished her goal, and has dedicated the past 10 years to serving the people of Barbados as a Registered Nurse in the QEH’s Neonatal Intensive Care
Unit (NICU). Jesecar enjoys the challenges and the unique experiences that come with the job, stating “My proudest moments are escorting parents to the hospital’s main entrance with their bundles of joy”
We asked Jesecar if she had any words of advice for young Barbadians who may be struggling academically and she had this to say “You alone dictate your pace… Be the best you can be at whatever your heart desires.”
