Suzan Reeves is a qualified human resources practitioner. Suzan joined the QEH in 2007 where she was tasked with the Employee Relations portfolio. In this capacity she improved the Performance Appraisal System and designed and conducted an Employee Satisfaction Survey which has led to the implementation of an employee rewards and recognition programme. In 2012, Suzan co-authored the Manpower Needs Assessment aimed at improving the workflow within the Engineering Department.
In 2015, Suzan was promoted to the position of Assistant Director Human Resources; and assumed responsibility for the management of the human resources training and development, employee relations, recruitment, and leave and pension portfolios. From July 2018 to present, Suzan has served as the Director, Human Resources (Ag.). In this role, Suzan is responsible for the overall strategic development of human resources within the organisation, inclusive of employees safety and health in the workplace.
Suzan received her Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology and Political Science from the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus and subsequently obtained a Master of Science degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Surrey. Suzan holds a Certificate in Guidance and Counselling from the University of the West Indies, Open Campus; and is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
