The Queen Elizabeth Hospital’s Artificial Kidney Unit provides treatment and care for patients across Barbados who have kidney (renal) problems such as renal failure, vasculitis, nephrotic syndrome, and anaemia.

Nephrology is a specialty of medicine that concerns itself with the study of normal kidney function, kidney problems, the treatment of kidney problems and renal replacement therapy and dialysis.
