Mr. Henderson Pinder is the Director of Nursing Services at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he oversees and evaluates all nursing personnel, guides staffing procedures, and sets objectives and long-term goals for the Department of Nursing, including ensuring that the quality of nursing care provided is on par with international standards.
Henderson has 32 years of experience and has worked as Assistant Director of Nursing Services for eight years, and as a Senior Nursing Officer prior to his acceptance of the role of Director of Nursing Services in 2017.
Henderson is qualified as a General Nurse and a midwife. He holds a Bachelor in Nursing (First Class Honors) and a post basic certificate in Nursing Administration. An International Council of Nurses, Trainer of Trainers, Henderson is actively involved in nursing and health policy, specializing in regulation, licensing and education. He has spearheaded a number of initiatives aimed at advancing nursing and midwifery practice, supporting professional development and driving innovation and change to improve the quality and safety of patient care. Additionally, under his leadership the QEH was accredited as a WHO Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative, in November 2017.
